Greater Louisville Outstanding Women is a 8-year-old organization, featuring members who are highly qualified in their area of expertise, providing excellence to their clients, colleagues and industries. The purpose of GLOW is to facilitate a group of connected and civically minded women who do business or own a business in Louisville, Kentucky. GLOW meets monthly to educate, lead, advocate and empower women of all ages in our region.
In addition to hosting monthly meetings that help members grow professionally, network, and support each other, GLOW has sponsored a Family Scholar House participant for two years, donated funds for a meeting room at the Center for Women and Families, supported women across the globe through Kiva loans, and held financial literacy events titled “Get Lit with GLOW.”

Greater Louisville Outstanding Women are the ‘best of the best’ Louisville has to offer. Members are highly qualified in their area of expertise, providing excellence to their clients, colleagues and industries. GLOW women refer business to each other as well as offer support and assistance as women-owned or female-driven companies. We celebrate women in leadership roles. GLOW members represent up to three individuals in their field of expertise in the Greater Louisville Area. Members meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 6-8 pm to network, socialize, and learn. Meetings are typically held at locally owned restaurants or GLOW member businesses and include networking time, 1-3 speakers, and announcements from the group. All GLOW members are required to attend 3 meetings per year and purchase a ticket to our Annual Holiday Party in December. Yearly dues are $125 per member.
GLOW is governed by an Executive Committee, with each member of the EC serving a 2-year term with a renewable option for 1 additional year. Nominations for new EC members are taken each year at the February annual meeting, and new officers and voted in the month following.
